Coconut Diethanolamide (CDE)

Description

Coconut Diethanolamide, (CDE)  acts as an anti-static, surfactant, thickener, stabilizer, foaming, dispersing, cleansing and solubiliser for fragrances and essential oils in the formulation of personal care products. It is an alkanolamide based on natural, renewable fatty acids and oils derived from coconut .  It is an nonionic surfactant which might be compounded with anionic surfactants and exhibits emolliency and neutralizing properties. The re-fatting properties of Cocamid DEA  helps prevent an over-dry feel caused by the removal of the natural fat from skin and hair by surfactants.  Commonly used in shampoos, soaps (liquid/bar), body and face cleansing foams, bubble baths and shower gels.
